長年、アントステラの販売代理店をしていましたが店舗縮小の為一部の商品を手放したいと思います。
現在のアントステラの家具はラジアータパインと言う節が無く安価な工場生産のベニア板の様な寂しい材料になってしまいましたが、今回出品させて頂くものはアントステラ絶頂期のアメリカンカントリーファニチャー社のシュガーパイン材の家具になります。シュガーパインは絶滅危惧種のシマフクロウの生息地になっている事が多く、年々伐採が困難になり価格もかなり高騰しています。
今回の家具は婦人服を展示する為使用していたものなので年数の割には傷や汚れは少ないと思います。
製造から30年以上経過していますが色が多少濃くなった事以外には大きな経年変化は見受けられません。まだアンティーク家具としては日が浅いですがコレクタブルズとしては充分な貫禄が有ると思います。アントステラでも数年前に廃型になってしまいましたが最終的な販売価格は30を超えていたと記憶しています。シュガーパイン材のアントステラの新品家具が手に入らなくなった今、価格はともかくシェイカー家具として1番良い時代のアメリカンカントリーファニチャー社の製品ではないでしょうか。
